"Turning a popular burger pop-up into a full-fledged restaurant in the former La Taq space, the new burger spot is set to open on December 4 next to the barbecue spot; owner Rodney Muirhead and the team finalized a half-pound patty that uses a blend of brisket, sirloin, and chuck after testing blends since early summer. The tight opening menu consists of a classic cheeseburger, a bacon cheeseburger, a fire-roasted green chile cheeseburger, and a rotating burger special; all of the burgers will be served with aioli on buns from Dos Hermanos. In addition to the burgers, the menu will include french fries, hand-dipped onion rings, Sabrett hot dogs, and chili-topped Coney Island dogs. Cocktails will also be on deck: The Oregonian reports the restaurant will keep La Taq’s bar, with the addition of new cocktails like a Manhattan and martini." - Rebecca Roland
