For the First Time Ever, Tito’s Tacos Adds a Chicken Burrito to the Menu - Eater LA
"Tito’s Tacos, Culver City’s longtime and frequently crowded taco stand adjacent to the 405, is making a big change to its menu this spring. Since 1959, the Culver City restaurant’s menu has remained mostly unchanged. But on May 5, the owners will add a chicken burrito to the lineup. Throughout the decades, Tito’s only menu additions were the flan and vegetable tamale. The chicken burrito will be made with a made-to-order tortilla filled with chicken, refried beans, and grated cheese. Tito’s hard-shelled tacos and salsa have been made in the same way since Benjamin Davidson and Benny Vizcarra first opened. Vizcarra developed the menu with input from the restaurant’s first employee, Amado Madera, before Davidson bought out his partner. Tito’s is currently owned by Davidson’s granddaughter, Lynne Davidson, and her husband, Wirt Morton." - Mona Holmes
