"Following concerns that indoor dining spreads COVID-19, the company announced it will keep dining rooms closed for the next 21 days and asked franchisees who have already reopened to review state guidelines and consider returning to take-out and delivery only. In an internal letter obtained by the Wall Street Journal the company said the recent surge shows nobody is exempt from the virus and that it will continue to monitor and adjust operations to protect employees and customers. About 2,200 U.S. dining rooms—roughly 15%—had been open, but states including Texas, Florida, Arizona and parts of California and Pennsylvania have since suspended indoor dining and/or bar service." - Jaya Saxena
