"Today is opening day for Adair Downtown, a new 4,628-square-foot restaurant from the team behind Adair Kitchen, Eloise Nichols Grill, Bebidas, and Skeeters Mesquite Grill, located in Wells Fargo Plaza at 1000 Louisiana Street. Modeled after a classic American bistro and envisioned by Gensler Architects with Houston-based McGarr Design & Interiors, the sun-lit space features subway tile and marble floors and is divided into four zones: a coffee bar stocked with pastries and juices, a dining room serving breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks, a cocktail bar with an outdoor patio, and a grab-and-go market selling food, cards, and gifts. The menu combines Adair Kitchen favorites like lemon artichoke soup and kale and quinoa bowls with new dishes exclusive to Adair Downtown, including a beef tenderloin crostini, tuna tartare, chicken paillard, a Thai salad, and an avocado-chorizo toast.
