"Chef Junior Borges, opening an upcoming River North restaurant in May, is teaming with a two-star Michelin chef for a special tasting dinner on April 8 that will mingle dishes from both kitchens alongside collaborative items. Borges was a James Beard Award semifinalist in 2023 for Outstanding Chef for his work at his Texas restaurants and is credited with helping bring Afro-Caribbean cuisine to the American eye. He’s partnering with Nicholas Yanes, and the planned food will meld Brazilian and Italian flavors with a dash of other global influences. Via a rep, Borges said, “Our collaboration dinner will be so much fun and for sure a sneak peek on some of the dishes we are planning for our opening menu at [the upcoming restaurant].”" - Ashok Selvam
