"A fine dining Indian restaurant with locations in India and across the world, Punjab Grill is opening in downtown D.C. The 150-seat restaurant will feature decor like booths inspired by railway cars, a bar decked out in onyx, and a mirror-covered private dining room called 'Sheesh Mahal' with 250,000 mirror tiles. The menu will offer traditional Indian dishes such as curries and tandoor-cooked meats, with special items like a roasted whole leg of lamb garnished with edible gold leaf. David Strauss of D.C.'s Morris American Bar and Nitin Tewari are collaborating on the cocktails." - Adele Chapin
