"Opening its first Austin location on Saturday, June 25 at 454 West Second Street in downtown, this Houston-based sandwich mini-chain offers a menu of standout sandwiches — including a crunch chicken with a nut-seed crumble on a pretzel bun, a vegan mushroom po’ boy, and a truffled egg sandwich — alongside seasonal salads like a mess of vegetables with watermelon and goat cheese and a Texas Caesar with seared poblano peppers and red onions. The menu also features chicken posole, potato salad, chocolate chip cookies and brownies, with ingredients and produce sourced locally from Houston and Austin. Beverage selections include Hill Country wines (such as Southold Farm + Cellars and Wine for the People), beers from Austin breweries like Live Oak and Independence, coffee and espresso drinks, and a strawberry-basil lemonade. Housed in a two-story, Michael Hsu–designed space with a patio on the former Alimentari 28 site, the concept previously operated in Austin as pop-ups and in a ghost kitchen since 2021. Founded in 2011 by Benjy Levit, chef Dylan Murray, and Martin Berson, the Austin outpost will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., with brunch and a fall breakfast takeout window planned." - Nadia Chaudhury
