"The interior of Lombardos is airy and austere, a lot of glass and cement and cans of tomatoes, with little in the way of seating. The minimalist decor speaks to the intense focus on the product, and the results more than make up for a lack of battered vinyl booths. Lombardo’s does North Jersey pies, including cracker-thin bar-style and traditionally inverted tomato pie (the sauce goes on top of the cheese for a deeply roasted burst of tomato).
