"A Houston-based American mini-chain opened its first Austin location in the Mueller neighborhood on Dec. 17. The fast-casual all-day café offers counter and table service with an all-day brunch, lunch and dinner menu featuring tacos, buttermilk pancakes, shrimp and grits, brisket with eggs, Nutella toast, grain bowls and a variety of other toasts and plates. The beverage program includes cocktails such as a vodka passionfruit lemonade, a frozen Moscow mule with blueberries and a spicy strawberry margarita, alongside Texas beers, wine, coffee, fresh juices and nonalcoholic options. The Austin space, designed by Chioco Design, swaps the brand’s usual bright yellow for a paler yellow accented with blues and whites, and provides indoor and outdoor dining plus a walk-up window. Founder Aaron Lyons, an Austin native who launched the concept in Houston in 2014 and has since expanded to multiple Houston-area locations (and opened a related concept, Daily Gather, in 2022), intends further Texas growth including a planned 2025 spot at William P. Hobby Airport. The Austin location is operating with limited hours now and will move to full hours starting Dec. 21 (7 a.m.–10 p.m. Monday–Thursday and 7 a.m.–10 p.m. Friday–Saturday); happy hours run 7–9 a.m. and 2–6 p.m. Monday–Friday and 4–7 p.m. on weekends, and takeout is available via the restaurant’s mobile app." - Nadia Chaudhury
