"The local alt-weekly’s longtime food editor, who had been with the paper for about 15 years in roles ranging from office manager to writer, left the position with her last day on August 27 to take a PR and communications role at a software company while continuing to contribute articles. During her tenure she reviewed restaurants, profiled local food businesses, shared recipes from chefs and home cooks, and extensively covered the coronavirus pandemic’s effects on the restaurant industry. She also helmed the publication’s annual best-restaurant roundup, First Plates (the most recent edition was published in late July). Her stewardship of the food section was informed by earlier mentorship under longtime critic and editor Virginia B. Wood, and she took over the editor role after her predecessor departed in 2017." - Nadia Chaudhury
