"Fashioned like a chic big city hotel lobby restaurant but without the actual hotel, Vicky’s All Day opens its doors at 9 a.m. with workers scrambling to prep the furniture and silverware. That means Vicky’s isn’t really an early breakfast spot but rather a true all-day eatery with a sizable morning-thru-lunch-friendly menu served until 3 p.m. Start with the signature breakfast, a play on the British breakfast plate with smoked pastrami, griddled tomato, mushrooms, ultra-crisp potatoes, eggs, and arugula salad, or get the enormous platter of chicken chilaquiles. Later in the day, the chicken lettuce wraps would destroy the ones from P.F. Changs, while the eggplant sabich pita sandwich rivals the ones in Tel Aviv." - Rebecca Roland
