"An iconic A-frame lodge known for its 20-foot loft ceiling and tall windows opposite the lounge served as a popular hikers’ destination and a noticeably cooler retreat—often 20–30 degrees colder than Las Vegas—before an early-morning fire destroyed the restaurant and bar ten months ago. The property, owned by Ellis Island, had its last remnants demolished earlier this year as crews moved a step closer to rebuilding.
