"Per an SFMOMA press release, the ground-floor restaurant at the museum is being rebooted with a well-known San Francisco bakery brand taking the space and is slated to open in August 2025 as a new location. This will be the seventh location for the brand; the proposed menu features a mix of salads, rice bowls, panini, sandwiches, toasts, parfaits, and "brunchfast" — a portmanteau that includes popular brunch and breakfast items such as a breakfast burrito, French toast, and a sausage biscuit, per the latest menu details. There will also be a coffee program with espressos, cappuccinos, lattes, cold brew on tap, plus chai, matcha lattes, turmeric lattes, and a couple of smoothies. Admission will not be required to purchase food or drinks, and seating will be available both inside and outside the space. The release notes that this new operation replaces the museum's previous restaurant, which permanently closed as of Monday, June 30, and that the space previously housed the Michelin-starred In Situ from chef Corey Lee." - Dianne de Guzman
