"Opening July 19 downtown on 2nd Avenue N, the Nashville outpost of Manhattan-based Liquor Lab will offer an interactive cocktail experience with a speakeasy, cocktail-centric retail, and event space. Created by Owen Meyer with VP Jeff Helion on the team, the concept aims to serve and educate communities on all things cocktail; the first location in New York launched about a year and a half ago and provides interactive beer, spirits, and cocktail classes where attendees learn recipe history and are led step-by-step on how to shake, stir, and sip their own drinks. Tickets for classes and events will be sold online for $50–$99, and launch programming includes two themed classes — one centered on tacos and tequila with pairings from Mas Tacos, and one focused on bourbon and barbecue featuring Peg Leg Porker. Nashville’s exclusive ticketed speakeasy will host theme nights with big-name music acts, matching drinks and decor, and guests gain access after attending classes or events; the venue is billed as the first bar in the world to feature a 360-degree immersive video experience created by Sony Pictures Entertainment to provide visual and audio environments that match each night’s theme. Hours starting July 19 are Monday–Saturday 11:00 a.m.–10:30 p.m. and Sunday 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m." - Delia Jo Ramsey
