"At her Petworth carryout sandwich shop (849 Upshur Street NW), I observed that Harris names sandwiches after her culinary muses—her mom, aunts, grandmothers, and partner—which reflects the deep love of food they instilled in her. Opened during the pandemic, Little Food Studio focuses on salads, sandwiches, and morning pastries, and Harris reports sales are up since her Secret Chef appearance; she hopes the TV exposure will let people experience her “cheffy” skills firsthand. To celebrate the show’s premiere she is hosting a public outdoor watch party on June 29 from 6–9 p.m., with the episode airing at 7 p.m. on a 21-foot inflatable screen (BYOC)." - Evan Caplan
