"A week after being shut down due to a COVID-19 outbreak, one West Seattle seafood spot is reopening again. Last Wednesday, Public Health Seattle - King County announced it had temporarily shut down Duke’s Chowder House on Alki Beach after discovering that multiple employees at the location tested positive for COVID-19. The department also found the restaurant had been in non-compliance with Washington’s “Safe Start” requirements for restaurants, specifically when it came to layout to help promote social distancing. But the health department has since signed off on the reopening, with a plan that “addresses employee health screening, physical distancing for employees, and compliance with 50% seating capacity.” The employees who tested positive are still in quarantine." - Gabe Guarente
