"Wine lovers, this one is for you. Kate Vahdani has opened Waters Edge Winery and Bistro, a chain of wineries initially launched in California, in Lake Highlands. The winery and bistro space opened in the spring, soon followed by its private events space in summer 2025. The taproom has exposed brick walls behind a V-shaped bar with dark blue tiles. There are wines available by the glass or by the bottle, in ranges from $10 to $18 per glass or $34 to $50 per bottle. In addition to regular service, Waters Edge will offer several tiers of wine clubs for old and new fans to join. There are tapas-style plates and shareables, including fondue, baked brie with kale chips, a deviled egg of the month, and crispy Brussels sprouts, along with an array of cheese boards, flatbreads, and bigger format plates from a rotating menu of pastas, chicken, and fish dishes." - Courtney E.
