Tracey’s Original Irish Channel Bar Is Closing After 15 Years | Eater New Orleans

"A Magazine Street bar and longtime St. Patrick’s Day focal point that will close after service on May 31. A fixture since 2009 known for a robust menu of po-boys and bar food, a myriad of beers and epic crawfish boils in season, the proprietor, Jeffrey Carreras, said this year’s weather-related cancellation — not once, but twice — of the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade was “the final blow.” Although the business moved to a larger Magazine Street location last year, it hadn’t picked up, and Carreras and his wife Jamie wrote in a social media “love letter to supporters”: “We close our doors with pride in our tradition of good times and laughs, Saints fanaticism, green beer and Jello shots, roast beef po-boys, Buffalo wings and hamburgers.”" - Beth D’Addono
