"Housed in a former radiator factory at 380 Boren Ave N in South Lake Union, Maslow’s opened three years ago as a full-service casual restaurant and bar named for psychologist Abraham Maslow. It served lunch, happy hour, and dinner with dishes such as pastas, house-smoked trout on crostini, and fried chicken, and even earned some praise from the Seattle Times. FareStart announced Maslow’s will close at the end of service January 31, saying the move will let them focus on catering from the SLU kitchen, provide stronger job training opportunities, use donor dollars more efficiently, and continue operating other social enterprise businesses." - Gabe Guarente
