"You could easily drive right past Elwood, mistaking it for cozy brick house — and that notion isn’t totally dispelled after you walk inside and you’re practically in the kitchen, watching chef Adam Diltz arrange sauerkraut and mashed potatoes in elegant china bowls. In the small dining room at this graceful Fishtown BYOB, designed by Diltz’s wife, architect Jenny Ko, the meal starts with an amuse-bouche of venison scrapple served on a set of antlers and moves into turtle soup, ham pot pie, pork from Stryker Farm in Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania, prepared three ways, and other dishes inspired by the region’s culinary history and the chef’s Pennsylvania Dutch family.
