"Located at 2179 Nolensville Pike, Tempo Nashville opens today with a mission from owner Javier Solis to bring Texas breakfast tacos to Tennessee; the menu is intentionally simple and focused, with a Texas scramble, four different breakfast tacos, a bean-and-cheese taco, tortillas with butter, and combos that come with drip coffee. Sweet bites include pan dulce, atole de arroz (sweet rice with cinnamon), and galletas, while drinks feature Texas sweet tea, Greenway coffee from Houston, and horchata. Owned and operated by Javier Solis and his family (Yvonne Damaris Solis and Uriah & Zylah Solis), Javier—who hails from San Antonio and is a professional percussionist—named the shop Tempo. Tempo is in a soft-opening phase (check their Instagram to confirm hours); tentative hours are today through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., while hours posted on the door list Monday–Saturday 7 a.m.–5 p.m. and Sunday 7 a.m.–4 p.m." - Delia Jo Ramsey
