"I tracked Li’l Nonna’s (the vegan pizza truck) through a brief, messy shutdown and a relocation: owner Rob Lordi temporarily shuttered the truck on December 20 to coincide with Ani’s closure and a gap between a temporary permit and the start of a permanent permit renewal, then explained on Instagram on January 3 that the truck had been affected by “some issues going on with Ani’s ownership and lease status.” Because the truck was parked on Ani’s alfresco space but staff needed indoor bathroom access, Lordi improvised—opening for service on January 4 with a porta-potty for staff—and the truck stayed open through January 16, often selling out. Planning to operate fully elsewhere, Lordi relocated Li’l Nonna’s to Tweedy’s (2906 Fruth Street) as its new permanent address; Li’l Nonna’s originally opened in 2016, had been at Ani’s since November 2023, and Lordi also opened a brick-and-mortar, Big Nonna’s, in 2020 in the Crossing at Parmer Lane neighborhood." - Nadia Chaudhury
