"After announcing its closure, Thirsty Whale Bakery in North Minneapolis is set to reopen on December 18 after being purchased by Alise and Luke McGregor, owners of Minnetonka’s YoYo Donuts. Motivated by the community’s outpouring of support, the McGregors plan to keep Kyle Baker in the kitchen and don’t intend to change much—Baker will continue churning out the doughnuts, pastries, and cupcakes the bakery is known for.
