"Lei’d Cookies opened on October 7 in the former Coolhaus Shop on Washington Boulevard. Owners Leilani Terris and James Lewis met in a bakery and debuted Lei’d Cookies one year before the pandemic. The shop now has more room to operate, with more color and plants, and features products from fellow Smorgasburg businesses. They offer a variety of cookies inspired by desserts from around the globe, including traditional chocolate chip, mango sticky rice, guava goat cheese, a Mayan-inspired cookie with dark chocolate, cinnamon, and cayenne, and a gelatinous, coconut-filled cookie based on the Filipino dessert buko pandan sapin sapin." - Mona Holmes
