"Owned by Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan and partner Chloe Mendel, this suburban tea house in Highland Park is being transformed into a Tower Records tribute for the 30th anniversary of Siamese Dream, running Thursday, September 14 through Sunday, September 17 at 1876 1st Street. The plant-based teashop emporium and part-time record store — the newest iteration opened in 2020 — offers a wide array of vegan and gluten-free sandwiches, wraps, bowls, and freshly baked goods and will also sell a special beer brewed by Hop Butcher For The World. They’ll sell exclusive Tower Records merchandise and host back-to-back acoustic performances recreating the Pumpkins’ eight-song set from 30 years ago; tickets, which ranged from $345 to $495, went on sale and quickly sold out, and the show will be live-streamed (the venue previously raised $250,000 for victims of the Highland Park shooting)." - Jaison Chahwala
