"Long-suffering since its 2012 opening by Canadian Tim Pipes, this hockey bar has endured an NHL lockout in its inaugural season, a massive Greenwood explosion in 2016, the pandemic, and now a cold snap that froze the pipes and a broken water main that flooded the bar and forced it to close. Pipes wrote that “It’s time for me to get out,” saying he created something beautiful and a community but that after 11 and a half years he needs to move on because “This business has just about killed me.” He has also faced mounting debt and the recent suicide of an employee, started a GoFundMe that raised nearly $10,000 in two days, and is considering options from selling to converting the place into a hockey-fan co-op (or even bankruptcy); he says he would like to see it continued as a hockey bar while he tries “to save my life right now.”" - Harry Cheadle
