"Together, chef Michael Solomonov and partner Steve Cook—who have earned five James Beard awards for their restaurants, including the much-lauded Zahav in Philadelphia—opened a new outpost at the 1 Hotel in South Beach. Solomonov has often compared Miami to Israel’s Tel Aviv in spirit and vibrancy, and the kitchen’s dishes strive to meld the two cities, with examples that include pompano with sea bean tzatziki, haloumi baklava with quince and pistachio, and the chef’s signature hummus.
