To get even more granular, visit for the Chelsea bun, whose syrupy folds of dough, punctuated by currants, are unmissable. The bun, and the bakery that makes it, were salvaged from permanent closure by Alice Wright, Tim Hayward, and head baker Gill Abbs in 2011.
