"This unassuming Mare Street restaurant nails comforting, generously portioned Turkish fare: baskets of warm bread are continually replenished, and a hot mixed meze on a rainy night delights with squeaky halloumi, crispy falafel, spicy sucuk and hummus that retains texture. The kebabs are the star — notably an aubergine kebab blended with lamb and herbs and served with buttery rice that can easily feed two. The front constantly breathes with chefs, customers and locals, and it’s wise to pick up some baklava to go." - James Hansen
