Caribbean-Adjacent Cocktail Bar Dalila’s Sets Up on Spring Street | Eater Carolinas

"Opening next Tuesday, February 26, this downtown bar occupies the former Crooked Crown space at 21 Spring Street and is the project of veteran bartenders Timur Dmitriyev and Michael Whiteley, who arrived from Los Angeles. The cocktail program offers Caribbean-inspired twists on classics — for example a Mai Tai made with bourbon and a Manhattan made with rum — focusing on flavors from around the globe rather than attempting to recreate a Caribbean scene. A petite food menu from Tomas and Lynda Prado of Spanglish Cuban Kitchen features a Cuban sandwich, a peanut butter-and-plantain sandwich, and fruits sprinkled with chile de árbol.
