"With roots that go back to 1994 when owner Ricardo Bastos launched Rio Market, Rio Bonito Grill opened across the street as a dedicated rodizio serving a $35 all-you-can-eat rodizio experience where the meat is king: large skewers are brought to the table and sliced in front of you, and customers praised the return of a rodizio that was missing from the neighborhood. The AYCE spread includes unlimited baskets of hot pao de queijo—bread pulled hot from the oven with cheesy, mochi-like pulls—and a buffet bar with assorted hot dishes such as rice, feijoada, fish stew, and salads, but the spectacle of the rotating skewers is the main draw. I heard longtime patrons say this is exactly what they were waiting for. Rio Bonito occupies 33-01 36th Avenue (corner of 33rd Street) and is open Tuesday–Thursday 5 p.m.–10 p.m., Friday–Saturday 4 p.m.–10 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m.–9 p.m., with AYCE offered during all open hours." - Caroline Shin
