"A fast-casual pizza concept launched in 2011 by the owners of a Boulder fine-dining restaurant, it began with an original location in Boulder, opened its first Denver spot five years ago in collaboration with a national partner, and expanded into the Midwest starting in 2015 following that partner’s expansion formula. The brand announced it will permanently close several Midwest outlets—five locations in Kansas City and Cincinnati—effective June 27 to refocus growth on Denver; it plans to keep its remaining Colorado stores (including two Denver locations and the original Boulder location) and is scouting new Denver-area sites. The pullback coincides with the national partner’s broader strategic changes under a new CEO, including a headquarters move to California and new menu experiments." - Josie Sexton
