"Dedicated solely to women’s athletics, this Logan Square sports bar plays only women’s sports on eight flatscreens (with the occasional Puppy Bowl exception) and positions itself as a cultural space to help grow that fandom. Inside the 1,600-square-foot room with a cozy back patio, the look is funky and retro: a bright pink wall faces a wooden L-shaped bar; yellow plaid barstools and a yellow banquette pop under futuristic light fixtures; a vintage scoreboard hangs near a digital photo booth; and bathrooms shift from pink to green, highlighting disco balls on the ceiling. Drinks include a hibiscus pale ale created with Marz Brewing, five drafts (four local) plus tapped prosecco, a strong wine program in the works with rotating red, white, orange, and rosé by the glass, carafe, or bottle, six cocktails, and nonalcoholic and low-alcohol options. There’s no kitchen—guests can bring their own food—and a nightly French fry drop with neighboring Yaba’s Food & Middle Eastern Grill serves as a bonus snack. Trophies and athlete ephemera—ribbons, photos, and trading cards—are epoxied into the high-top tables from community donations, underscoring the mission; on big game days, “Between Periods” pregaming offers team stats, player details, and insider gossip. Open 4 p.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday; 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday; noon to 1 a.m. Saturday; and noon to midnight Sunday, with opening day set for September 27." - Lisa Shames
