"The urban outpost of the Deep Medicine Circle's Farming is Medicine work, the Rooftop Medicine Farm atop The Logan building is the largest rooftop farm in operation in the West. The DMC grows and liberates food from the market economy, providing organic, nutritious produce free to communities made vulnerable by colonial capitalism. The women of color-led nonprofit organization works to decommodify food and build a food system that centers care through healing the land and feeding the people. The Rooftop Medicine Farm was designed and built by DMC Director of Agroecology, Benjamin Fahrer through his design/build firm Top Leaf Farms. Volunteer days are Thursdays from 1-3:30pm. Email deepmedicinecircle@gmail.com for more information."
