"Run independently by chefs Sarah Hymanson and Sara Kramer after separating from the Joint Venture Restaurant Group, the Studio City outpost occupies a larger 1,200-square-foot space and kitchen at Sportsmen’s Lodge to service walk-ups and a robust takeout and delivery program. There’s ample outdoor seating right in front of the takeout window and scattered throughout the retail and restaurant areas, and the bright interior was designed by Lovers Unite. The menu mirrors the original with whole and half chickens, pita sandwiches, hummus, chicken salad, a chicken sandwich, schmaltzy potatoes, and an emphasis on market vegetables for salads. The owners are implementing their values here by giving bigger roles to longtime management and employees, working with local farmers and produce growers, using sustainable packaging, eliminating the service charge, and sharing tipped earnings equally among hourly staff based on hours worked.
