"Opening on Tuesday, July 28, I learned about a fast-casual taco shop in the Pie Town neighborhood at 614 Ewing Avenue called Pie Town Tacos. The menu centers on two types of tacos—carne asada and al pastor served on corn tortillas with traditional garnishes, and Nashville hot tacos (choose from chicken, cauliflower, or fish) dusted with a house spice blend—alongside chorizo or potato taco bowls, chilaquiles, salsas, queso, and sopapillas, with plenty of vegetarian-friendly options. For now there’s no dine-in service: owners and husband-and-wife team Jason and Lea Crockarell, who have over 25 years of experience in the Nashville hospitality industry and have operated Flavor Catering since 2006, are offering only carry-out and delivery; the Pie Town Tacos food truck will park outside for walk-up or advance online orders, and delivery will be available through Grubhub and Postmates. When dine-in resumes the bungalow will seat 20 inside and 12 on the patio with social-distancing measures in mind, and current hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Saturday." - Delia Jo Ramsey
