Monarch & Lion, A British Restaurant

Restaurant · Streeterville

@eater

"The owners of Rooh Chicago attempted to open a British pub in Streeterville with a healthy dose of British Indian fare. The owners were surprised that locals see Monarch & Lion more as a restaurant than a sports bar, but that’s OK. The food brings elevated charm and the fish and chips are ironically coated with a batter made with IPA (Indian Pale Ale). It’s haddock for this one and they’ll serve mushy peas upon request." - Ashok Selvam, Naomi Waxman, Eater Staff
