"An affordable, casual counterpoint to Lin’s sit-down work, conceived as a fried-chicken sandwich shop inspired by her popular Szechuan hot quail dish and compared to Momofuku’s Fuku for its approachable concept. Sandwiches are built on milk bread buns with crispy fried chicken thighs coated in Lin’s own spice blend and breading and offered in three heat levels; the menu also includes chicken tenders, a vegetarian-friendly hot fried cauliflower, french fries, coleslaw, comeback sauce, habanero sauce, hot honey, iced milk tea, and sides such as cornbread and pimento cheese. Initially takeout and delivery only, the strip-mall space (on the borders of Silver Lake, Westlake, and East Hollywood) has some interior seating but it will remain closed until it’s safer to open; the restaurant is being launched with Nightshade partner Francis Miranda and was projected to open in early-to-mid August." - Matthew Kang
