"Restaurateur Carlos Suarez purchased the West Village building housing the restaurant for $9.3 million at 18 Greenwich Avenue at West 10th Street, a move Crain’s New York Business reports as part of a trend of retailers buying their property and “making it more appealing for those with enough capital to claim their stake indefinitely,” the site reported. The restaurant opened in 2012, is notable for its rooftop vegetable garden, and currently operates three locations in the city and one in Miami." - Melissa McCart
