LA Hotel Union Opposes Gwyneth Paltrow’s Private West Hollywood Club - Eater LA

"The upscale Arts Club development proposed for West Hollywood could be in for a rather large snag due to opposition from the Unite Here Local 11 union. The 120,000 square foot project will house the London-based private Arts Club and include attached restaurants, ground floor retail, membership guest rooms, open hotel rooms, rooftop spaces, a supper club, and a public art gallery. Developers have pledged to make the space accessible to all and to donate more than $2 million to the city of West Hollywood to fund arts programs. Gwyneth Paltrow is involved in bringing the development to life, and the West Hollywood City Council recently voted in favor of the project. The union has until October 8 to gather enough signatures to potentially overturn the project approval." - Farley Elliott
