"Opening in Carmel Valley’s new One Paseo complex, CAVA Del Mar at 3722 Paseo Place will be a 2,160-square-foot, 28-seat location that operates daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. and joins tenants such as Salt & Straw Ice Cream, Shake Shack, and Tender Greens. As another outpost of the fast-casual Cava Grill concept (a spinoff of DC’s Cava Mezze founded by Ted Xenohristos, Ike Grigoropoulos, and Executive Chef Dimitri Moshovitis), it will offer the same scratch-made, customizable Mediterranean menu of buildable salads, pitas, rice and lentil bowls topped with jalepeno-infused feta mousse, spicy lamb meatballs, and cauliflower quinoa tabbouleh, plus seasonal soups and juices and the brand’s small-batch dips and spreads sold at Whole Foods and specialty stores." - Candice Woo
