"When it opens in Alexandria, an open dessert kitchen will sling boozy (and non-boozy) milkshakes and other sweet treats at a 38-seat, all-ages bar, and the cherry on top may be the massive elephantine TowerCakes—each 25 to 35 pound cake yields a slice that serves three or four people easily.
