"I finally found something similar at Marabella, a pizza-shaped premises on Greenpoint Avenue in Sunnyside: a rollicking neighborhood spot decorated with maps of Sicily that offers the usual assortment of slices, pastas, and sandwiches. Behind a glass case I spotted wedge-shaped sandwiches that looked like two slices of pizza but were actually a tomato-smeared focaccia cut in half horizontally and then into wedges; the version I tried was the focaccia chicken cutlet sandwich ($7), filled with breaded chicken cutlets topped with melted cheese, arugula, and tomato, popped in the oven and served on a white paper plate. It tasted great — the annealed tomato sauce and a bonus tomato wedge added flavor and moisture while the chicken cutlet kept its crunch under the cheese — though I still wanted to ask if they’d make me one with two slices of cold cheese pizza instead." - Robert Sietsema
