Rebel Restaurant Now Has Closing Date - Eater Denver

"Rebel Restaurant, the standout spot at the edge of RiNo, now has a closing date. The restaurant where pinball machines vie for attention just like the killer cocktails and outrageous whole hog’s head dinners closes on August 4, the owners say in an email to Eater Denver. “We weren’t sure as we are subleasing the space to the folks from Nocturne, but now that we have most of the paperwork handled we can confidently say that’s our last night,” a representative of the restaurant told Eater Denver in an email. The restaurant opened three years ago on Wynkoop Street with pierogies and tongue, and quickly became one of Eater’s 38 “essential” Denver restaurants. Rebel made a name for itself as an outsider in the local food scene with its whole hog heads served in the setting of a former biker bar. Only this summer, the restaurant hit issues with road construction and redevelopment in its RiNo neighborhood." - Susan Stapleton
