"If you’ve been looking for an excuse to bring friends together for a Korean barbecue dinner, now’s the time. Barn Joo’s Union Square location will be serving two renditions of the Manhattan, with names inspired by the Korean love story of The Herdsman and the Weaver, a folk tale of two star-crossed lovers. The Jiknyeo (the daughter of the king of heaven in the story) will feature Angel’s Envy Bourbon Finished in Port Barrels, and earthy soju in place of sweet vermouth, and bitters, while the Gyeonu (the skilled herdsman in the story) will include Angel’s Envy Bourbon Finished in Port Barrels, sweet vermouth, and winter melon bitters.
