SomiSomi is Now Serving Soft Serve Stuffed Taiyaki at Katy Grand | Eater Houston

"I noted that SomiSomi, a California ice cream chain known for its vivid swirls of soft serve, opened a Katy outpost at 23330 Grand Circle Boulevard, Suite 150 over the weekend; it's the first of two Houston-area locations planned, with another slated for Sugar Land. An Instagram darling, they serve several flavors — matcha, ube, black sesame, Oreo, and coffee — along with a rotating selection of those flavors swirled together. The soft serve can be served in a (boring) cup or a freshly-baked taiyaki (fish-shaped) cone that's filled with custard, red bean paste, or Nutella, and for folks who want to skip the ice cream, taiyaki are also available filled with cheddar, taro, or red bean paste and cream cheese.
