"Located at 702 Washington St. in Chinatown, Boston, Liuyishou Hotpot is a Chinese hot pot chain from China that has expanded into the U.S. (first via New York) and now into Boston. I note that the chain, founded in 2000 and now totaling more than 1,000 locations worldwide, moved into the former Joy Luck Hot Pot space and recently opened locations in Seattle and Toronto. It serves Chongqing-style hot pot—spicy and made with Sichuan peppers—with broth options such as beef oil and vegetable oil and ingredient combinations including vegetables, seafood, beef, and lamb; traditional thin-sliced cuts are presented on a wooden wheel that surrounds the broth pot. Photos the chain shared on Facebook show long white tables, booths, and wall murals." - Dana Hatic
