"Set to open next month in a small, mostly takeaway space attached to the iconic Vista Theatre in Los Feliz, this tiny shop occupies a 1920s-era building at the corner of Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood Boulevard, Hillhurst and Virgil. A tight marble bar sits near the door with limited sidewalk cafe-style seating, while most of the interior is devoted to staff turning out nitrogen-cooled ice creams finished on the spot; the owner, actor-turned-shopkeeper Ben Fernebo, says all workers will also perform, so expect an in-person show alongside service. The menu will rotate close to a dozen flavors — from coffee to strawberry graham cracker to s'mores — and the newcomer will be joining a crowded local ice cream scene that already includes established shops like McConnell’s, Jeni’s, Butter’s, Smitten and Magpies." - Farley Elliott
