"Around 12:30 p.m., after being rear-ended by another driver, a taxi slammed into the Hell’s Kitchen outpost of Westville at 809 Ninth Ave., between 53rd and 54th streets; photos I saw show the car still partially inside the restaurant, which typically opens out onto the sidewalk. Managers told CBS that some diners spotted the car coming over the sidewalk and jumped out of the way; eight people were injured (five taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and three who refused medical aid).
