"A new Korean ramen restaurant in Cedar Park opened on September 27 at 1821 South Lakeline Boulevard, Suite 102, offering a fast-casual, self-serve experience inspired by the DIY ramyun spots the owners frequented in South Korea. Co-owners Henry Kim and his wife recreated a cafeteria-style, convenience store-ish setup where customers grab yellow trays and choose from nearly 50 types of pre-packaged ramen (Shin Ramyun, Buldak, Jin, Gomtang, Ottogi, Chapagetti, and more) in flavors ranging from spicy and cheesy to seafood, kimchi, and sesame — though there are no gluten-free options. Diners then pick from 25 toppings (including eggs, corn, and cheese) and non-ramen sides like tteokbokki, kimbap, and ice cream, pay according to several pricing tiers that grant access to classic or premium combinations, and use a cooking station with a special bowl and a machine that adds timed water; staffers are on hand to help. The Kims imported much of the trays, containers, and cooking equipment from Korea, spent three years developing the concept, and hope to share Korean food and culture with Texans while opening two more locations by 2025. K-Ramyun is open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and offers indoor dine-in." - Nadia Chaudhury
